About Me

Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm so happy you stopped by!
This blog was created in December 2013 as an online space to share my stories, opinions, and past experiences. Name a topic, and in the past four years I've probably blogged about it. Women's issues? Check. College faux pas? Check. Media and pop culture analysis? Double-check.
I'm a recent grad from James Madison University, where I earned my degree in Media Arts and Design, concentrating in journalism and RuPaul's Drag Race. Okay, so maybe my official curriculum had nothing to do with RPDR, but judging by the amount of time I spent watching it my senior year you'd think otherwise (sorry, mom).

I pride myself on having a well-rounded take on media and content creation, including but not limited to: news reporting, video journalism, copy editing, creative writing, media ethics, marketing, and social media. With all that under my belt, you'd think I'd know by now not to use the Oxford comma, but quitting this grammatical love affair is harder than the Associated Press seems to think.

Feel free to peruse this blog, but be warned: if you scroll back too far, you might find it hard not to judge the things I said when I was eighteen. If you'd like to see more of my work, click the links below or send me an email.
